The World’s Largest Pyramid Is NOT In Egypt

When most people think of pyramids, they think of Egypt. Giza. The desert. One king. One story.

But that story is incomplete.

The largest pyramid on Earth is not in Egypt. Some of the oldest pyramids were rising in Peru while Egypt was still figuring out its first designs. Entire cities in the Americas were built around pyramids at the same time, without contact, oceans apart.

From Caral in Peru to Cholula in Mexico, from Sudan’s forgotten pyramid fields to Egypt’s iconic monuments, this episode of WTF breaks open the global pyramid story we were never taught in school.
